If rodeo secretaries were judged like bronc riders, Debi Davis would have more belt buckles than her grandkids have toys. Hailing from Kalispell, Montana, and now reigning supreme in Nine Mile Falls, Washington, Debi has been wrangling paperwork, schedules, and rodeo cowboys’ egos since 1992. As a ProRodeo secretary and timer, she’s been the behind-the-scenes glue holding countless events together—earning her stripes (and plenty of late nights) over decades in the industry.
She’s also a seasoned Circuit Manager for the Columbia River ProRodeo Circuit, a position she’s held since 2009. Her ability to juggle a rodeo schedule, handle the unexpected, and still leave the office on time is practically an Olympic sport. And while we’re not sure how she finds the time, she’s even made multiple appearances as an assistant secretary at the National Finals Rodeo—a four-time titleholder with a killer filing system to prove it.
When she’s not making sure everything runs smoother than a champion barrel racer’s turns, she’s busy being the boss of everything else. As president of Diamond D Trucking, she’s no stranger to the driver’s seat—literally and figuratively.
Debi also wrangles a family she’s fiercely proud of: her two kids, Dani and Clint, and two grandkids who probably think grandma’s job is a mix of superhero and miracle worker.
Debi Davis: proof that the rodeo world doesn’t just run on horsepower—it runs on people like her.
