If timing rodeos were a rodeo event itself, Natalie Lundell would already have a saddle full of gold buckles. A Spanish Fork, Utah native who traded her hometown roots for the open spaces of Central Utah in 2022, Natalie has been working her magic behind the timer’s table since 2017. But don’t let the stopwatch fool you—this gal’s story starts long before the arena lights.
Growing up on a family farm, Natalie honed her skills riding horses, driving tractors, gathering cattle, and, let’s be honest, probably outworking everyone in sight. To this day, her happy place is still on the mountain, gathering cows in the fall or cheering on her nieces and nephews from the sidelines—though a good meal and some time to travel rank pretty high on her list, too.
By day, Natalie’s a full-time insurance agent with 20 years under her belt at Security Insurance in Spanish Fork (because why not be amazing at two careers?). By night—or whenever the rodeo comes to town—she’s a timer who’s gone from “filling in” to a sought-after fixture at some of the biggest rodeos in the West. Her journey took a big leap in 2021 when she was nominated to work the Wilderness Circuit Finals, and since then, the opportunities have blossomed faster than a cowboy packing for Vegas.
Natalie credits her success to the incredible mentors, secretaries, and timers who’ve guided her, not to mention the contractors and committees who’ve trusted her with their events. (And if you ask her, the Legacy team holds a special place in her heart—they make her feel as welcome as a hometown hero on a victory lap.)
These days, Natalie’s timing resume includes stops at legendary rodeos like Ellensburg, Santa Barbara, Oakdale, and Walla Walla, plus a host of others across Utah, Nevada, Oregon, and California. Whether she’s timing barrel runs, cheering on the next generation, or enjoying the post-rodeo stories, Natalie brings her signature mix of hard work, gratitude, and good humor to every event she touches.
